According to reports, a 20-year-old pregnant woman was shot and killed in Houston, TX during a drive-by incident on Friday night. Reports add that the woman was 8 months pregnant and had a baby shower set for the very next day.

Reports say that 20-year-old Jennifer Hernandez was weeks away from delivering her baby boy when the unthinkable occurred. Hernadez was hit in a drive-by shooting on Friday night in Houston, the day before her planned baby shower.

Details of the report say that Hernandez was with her 17-year-old boyfriend at the time of the shooting, as the two had just left a gas station in a sedan. This is when a white, four-door sedan with tinted windows and paper license plates sped up on the side of the couple.

This is when witnesses reportedly said that gunshots began ringing out. The white sedan sped away from the scene and left behind both Hernandez and her boyfriend, who were hit by shots. The boyfriend, who was driving at the time, reportedly rolled out of the vehicle and began yelling for someone to help his girlfriend.

The witness on the scene said that Hernandez, who was in the passenger seat, was shot in the face. Hernandez was reportedly on the phone with her mother when the witness got to the car and could be heard saying, "I'm not going to make it, Mom. I'm not going to make it".

The pregnant woman was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
