One of the state's favorite haunted houses is still on for this Halloween season. The 13th Gate in Baton Rouge will be reopening on Friday, October 2nd.

Tickets are actually on sale now. General admission tickets are $30, and VIP tickets, which allow immediate access into the haunted house, are $60.

The 13th Gate is open every Friday through Sunday in the month of October.

Of course, like just about everything these days, this year's haunted house experience will be slightly different due to the coronavirus. Rest assured, your night will still be terror-filled.

The 13th Gate is strongly encouraging customers to purchase tickets before arriving at the site. The good thing is that tickets purchased are valid for any night the haunted house is open.

Before you go though, you should be aware of the 13th Gate's COVID-19 protocols:

  • Face masks are required.
  • Virtual queue lines instead of regular lines -- Upon arrival, each guest will scan their QR code and be assigned a number. They'll be notified on when to report back to the haunted house and wait in a very small, socially distanced line.
  • Social distancing -- Six-foot markings are labeled around the property.
  • Entrance into the haunted house - Will only be your direct group.
  • Sanitation -- There will be enhanced cleaning often including restrooms, doors, handrails, etc. Customers will also be required to sanitize their hands before entering the site.
