The United States Men's National Team begins their road to the 2018 Fifa World Cup with their first Wold Cup Qualifier matchup tonight at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri as they take on the tiny Caribbean nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The USMNT will hope to bounce back from a woeful summer which saw the squad take a disappointing fourth place finish in the CONCACAF Gold Cup as well as suffering a gut-wrenching extra-time loss to rivals Mexico in the CONCACAF Cup.

Head Coach Jurgen Klinsman will hope to invigorate the team with the introduction of some new and exciting faces. The sensational 20-year-old New York Red Bulls center back Matt Miazga will make his debut with the senior squad after featuring for the US in both the U-20 World Cup and U-23 Olympic Qualifiers earlier this year. Miazga will be joined by fellow MLS standout Darlington Nagbe.

Born in Libera, Nagbe recently gained citizenship to the United States making him eligible for the national team. The speedy Portland Timbers midfielder will hope to make an immediate impact in what has been an anemic attack for the United States in recent showings.

One familiar face that won't be in the lineup tonight will be talismanic center forward Clint Dempsey. Jurgen Klinsman has opted to leave his old warhorse off the roster for this match to give the veteran some much needed recovery time after a grueling MLS season.

The game stats at 5:30 central time and will be televised on ESPN 2.
