Unknown Hero Saves Sick Man From Burning House…And Then Vanishes

It sounds like something out of a movie: a complete stranger rescues a man from a burning house and then just disappears.

Well, it actually happened recently in Fresno, California.

When a house went up in flames, a woman was frantic because her father was still inside. Then, a man carries the father -- 73-year-old Robert Wells, who uses an oxygen tank -- to safety (cut to about 1:30 in the video).

The hero in question reportedly went to a hospital before checking out. His identity is still unknown.

Wells is certainly grateful for the man's courage, saying, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
