The UL Office of Communication is alleviating the stresses of prom for girls at one high school in Acadiana.

According to a report by KATC, UL students stocked the walls chock-full of new or lightly-used prom dresses to give the teen girls at Northwest High School the chance to pick out a dress that elicits confidence.

The UL Lafayette Broadcasting Facebook page covered the event and said that it, "put smiles on the faces of more than 30 girls."

This is the second year in a row that UL students donated dresses to the Northwest High School. Students donated over 100 dresses that were given away free of charge.
