After losing four players from last year's squad, the Louisiana Ragn' Cajun softball team will be adding at least one.

An outfielder, Rodriguez was a first team All-Southland Conference selection in both 2016 and 2017.

Last season, Rodriguez topped the Cardinals in hitting, with a .388 average, to go along with one home runs, 47 runs scored, 24 runs batted in, and 16 stolen bases.

In 2016, hit a .393, and set a Lamar single-season record with 70 hits.

A native of Houston, Rodriguez played one season at Galveston College, prior to her two seasons at Lamar.

Rodriguez will be eligible to play for the Cajuns in the spring, and has one season of eligibility remaining.

Louisiana lost four players from last year's team, including outfielder Aleah Craighton and pitcher Alyssa Denham, who will be transferring to Arizona, shortstop DJ Sanders, who will be transferring to Oregon, and catcher Brittany Nollkamper, who left the team prior to fall practice, and will be transferring to Arkansas.
