Truck Spills Cane Syrup In French Quarter

Talk about a sticky situation in the French Quarter.

New Orleans public works crews are in the process of cleaning up a cane syrup spill on North Rampart Street.

According to WVUE, the truck began leaking, causing the gigantic mess. The driver will reportedly be cited for violating load and size limits.

The good news: Most of the road has been reopened. The bad news: Some drivers may be stuck in traffic because one lane of Rampart remains closed.
