Freetown Boom Boom Room

The Freetown Boom Boom Room, located at 300 McKinley St. in Lafayette, announced yesterday that they were bringing Tim Cappello to play live for a themed night where they ask you to wear your coolest 80's/Lost Boys/Vampire gear, and offering "a bloody good time!"

Tim Cappello will be playing on Thursday, April 14th with local support from Night Revival. Cover is only $10 and doors will open at 8pm.

 

Sax Guy from Lost Boys

Cappello has quite the résumé He's played with the likes of Peter Gabriel (appearing on Peter Gabriel 2 as well as touring), Carly Simon (where he came out on stage in a leather G-string, as well as chains and a dog leash that Simon pulled him out on stage with), as well as Tina Turner and Ringo Starr. However, most people remember him from his 12 seconds of screen time in The Lost Boys where he is seen playing the saxophone and singing the cover of The Call's "I Still Believe".

 

 

The movie that made vampires cool, The Lost Boys first opened in theaters on July 31st, 1987 starring a laundry list of soon-to-be well known actors like Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, the two Corey's (Haim and Feldman), Jamie Gertz, Dianne Wiest, and Bill S. Preston, Esq. himself, Alex Winter.
