The Sign Is Gone From ‘I And Ben’s Cafe’ In Youngsville
Here is something of an "update" to a story that I posted yesterday: The sign that advertised I and Ben's Cafe' in Youngsville was no longer there when I drove by this morning...
There is a little white house with a little white building right next to it in Youngsville, on Lafayette Street, and I always wondered what the little building was: you guys answered that question for me! I noticed a sign leaning against the building, and wondered if that was the business housed in that little building. The answer: Yes!! Thank you to everyone who commented on the post and on Facebook.
Yesterday's post seemed to stir up lots of memories for people, from customers who went there as kids to people who were related to the owners.
When this story was posted to our Facebook page, even more people chimed in, with memories as vivid as if the restaurant was open yesterday...
Thanks to all who shared their memories.
My question still stands, though: where did the sign go? Again, it was there yesterday, and now it's gone.
My hope is that someone "in the family" picked up the sign to keep as a "family treasure"!
