There's a lot of negativity and nonsense on Facebook, but there's also lots of wisdom.

The nature of our jobs in radio today require us to spend a lot of time on social media, including Facebook. As everyone knows, there's a lot of negativity on all the platforms, especially during an election year. Sometimes, I want to log off all social media completely for at least a day just to reboot my own system. Since I can't do that, I focus on the positive and useful things people share instead.

This was shared by a lot of people I'm connected with on Facebook: '10 Things That Require Zero Talent.' I saw it a few times through the week and kept thinking about it and how true it is. We all assume that talent is the key to success. More often than not, the truth is that hard work is the real key to success.

In my experience, #9 is maybe the most important thing on this list. If you're willing to admit you don't have all the answers and don't know the best way to do everything, you will be extremely successful because you will always be learning and improving.
