Wayne Toups will be performing with the Pride Of Acadiana at halftime during the App State-UL football game this Wednesday, October 12.

Here's some pretty cool news. Acadiana's own Hunter Hayes has been added to the lineup for the Acadiana Strong benefit concert on Sunday, September 4th at Evangeline Downs Event Center in Opelousas.

The money raised will be given to flood victims via the Community Foundation of Acadiana.

Admission is only $10 and the money raised will be distributed to local organizations helping in the recovery through the Community Foundation of Acadiana.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 4th at Evangeline Downs for the "Acadiana Strong" benefit concert. 100% of proceeds will go to flood victims.

We were surfing through one of our favorite websites BuzzFeed.com today when we came across a list of the 29 Most Austin Things That Ever Happened. That got us to thinking... what were the most Cajun things that ever happened? After some careful deliberation, we think we've got a pretty definitive list.

The likes of Jo-El Sonnier, Wayne Toups, Chubby Carrier, Roddie Romero, Charlene Howard and many others showed up at Dockside Studio Today to film a video for the upcoming release of 'Healing Song', a remake of Jo-El's version from several years ago.

A few weeks ago at Dockside Studio in Maurice I had the honor of watching as Grammy award winner Jo-El Sonnier and some of his musician friends laid down tracks to the new updated version of "Healing Song", a song Jo-El wrote and recorded as a solo hit many year ago.

It's a shame Moms only get one day a year. We agree with Wayne Toups, every day is (or should be) Mother's Day.

Lafayette's premiere St. Patrick's Day event, Patty In The Parc, held in downtown Lafayette tonight just keeps getting bigger and better...even in the rain!

UPDATE - May 22, 3:20pm:  Officials at Cajun Harley-Davidson have informed us that Bikin' on the Block for tonight has been cancelled.   It's "Bikin' on the Block" May 22 with Grammy Award-winning Wayne Toups and Zydecajun!

Grammy winner Wayne Toups, whose performance at Le Festival de Mardi Gras a' Lafayette was cancelled last night (Monday) due to weather has been RESCHEDULED and will PLAY TODAY at 5pm at Cajun Field.

Rhythms On The River resumes this Thursday in the The River Ranch Town Square with Wayne Toups & Zydecajun . Music starts at 5:30 and admission is free. Refreshments are available on site.
