Those who receive SNAP benefits in Louisiana are now getting a little bit more to spend on healthier food choices as of October 1st.

If you qualify for SNAP, Medicaid, or unemployment benefits you might be eligible for free internet service on your smartphone.

The benefits will go up by about 15 percent.
