Louisiana schools

As Hurricane Ida approaches Louisiana, many schools across the state are announcing closures. Ida is expected to make landfall as a major hurricane on Sunday, August 29th.

Just before the close of the legislative session at the state capital, lawmakers have decided that all 5-year-olds in Louisiana must attend kindergarten.
