April is the Louisiana Jeepers' member drive month, and representatives will be at various locations, signing people up for the club and renewing current memberships.
The Cajun Jeepers, a local, non-profit Jeep club, is holding their monthly meeting tonight at Maya's Mexican Grill (2633 S.E. Evangeline Thruway) at 6:30 pm.
Cajun Jeepers Crue', based in Lafayette, was formed by people with similiar interests, including enthusiasm for outdoor/off-road activities and "giving back", in efforts to support the missions of local charities.
There are a several 'groups' in Acadiana who meet on a regular basis to enjoy a meal, swap stories, catch up on current events, or try to solve the World's problems. Becoming a member of one of these groups, or 'clubs', might be great for your health (that is: if you eat broccoli and drink water at every meeting).
The Trail Lizards Jeep Club (based out of Bossier City) held it's annual "Go Topless With The Lizards" Jeep show at Landers Chrysler/ Dodge/Jeep/ Ram dealership today, bringing together jeep enthusiasts and jeep owners to help raise canned goods for the local food bank. And Yours Truly was there!
