The Breast Center of Acadiana Foundation will be holding their 2nd Annual "Paint the Town Pink" event on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, 7-9:30pm at Tsunami in  Downtown Lafayette. This year's event will honor the Pink Ribbon Divas, a support group for Breast Cancer Survivors under the age of 40.

A young mother named Darlene Gant posted a video on YouTube, asking for the release of a drug called Pertuzumab, not yet approved by the FDA,  for 'compassionate use.' With Mother's Day right around the corner, and the death of my sister-in-law from breast cancer in 2007, her story really affected me. Her plea will touch your heart. Watch it below.

‘E! News’ host and reality TV star Giuliana Rancic announced Monday morning on ‘Today’ that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Rancic has had difficulties conceiving a child with husband and fellow reality TV star Bill Rancic, and it was only through her third in vitro fertilization attempt that this was revealed.

Andrea Mitchell, chief foreign affairs correspondent for NBC News and host of ‘Andrea Mitchell Reports,’ revealed that she’s recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Mitchell, 64, made the announcement at the end of her show on Wednesday. According to Mitchell, the disease has not spread and her prognosis is excellent. It was detected, she said, during a routine screening.
