Cajun Paws Rescue boarding flooded and they really need a couple of dedicated adult fosters to step up and help with either Cora or Jett.

A friend asked me the other day where she could adopt a rescue puppy in Lafayette, and I was quick to point her to Cajun Paws Rescue and show her this video!

Presented by Cajun Paws Rescue, this event will help raise funds for CPR to continue their mission of rescuing dogs and placing them in foster/permanent homes.

Cajun Paws Rescue (CPR) took in "Carter" last night, and they need help nursing him back to health. CPR gets 100s of emails, calls, messages, and texts about dogs in need. But this one hit them hard. Meet Carter. He was found running out of a cane field in Iberia Parish and the guy who found him just couldn't bear to leave him on the side of the road...

The goal of Cajun Paws Rescue is to make this dream come true for all of the other Pitbull/Pitbull mixes who are facing the same circumstances.

Roux was hit by a car and has a broken leg, but will heal quickly. He is looking for a foster home or, even better, a 'furever' home!

Jack and Jill are now looking for their permanent home.

The fostering of these pest costs you $0! CPR pays for everything; all you provide is a safe, loving environment while these animals await their forever homes!

Jezzy is still looking for her fur-ever home. She was abandoned in an apartment without food or water and in horrible conditions when her previous owners moved out.

Roulette, craps and blackjack tables will be bristling with excitement as guests play for a great cause: animal rescue.

The event is from 11am-3pm and will include live music by Casey Courville and Alyse Young. Cajun Paws Rescue will be accepting food and monetary donations, and will also have a few dogs available for adoption.

My friend Tony runs a dog rescue non-profit called iRescue, and he is moving out of state at the end of April.  He currently has several dogs that he is fostering, and some need their forever homes before May 1.
