The American Cancer Society is marking the 38th Great American Smokeout on November 21 by encouraging smokers to use the date to make a plan to quit, or to quit smoking that day.

The 8th annual Jeep Jaunt lead by JayCee Falcon and the Falcon family was held this past Sunday and now this family friendly event has it's own day!

The 'Jeep Jaunt' JAM will be held August 10, 2013 at Sterling Jeep on I-49 in Opelousas. The event will kick off the registration process from the 8th annual 'jeep jaunt.'

When my mom died due to lung disease, interest in my own lung health began to rise, which led me to become a member of the American Lung Association's Leadership Council team for the state of Louisiana.  Never before had I realized how dangerous and how prominent lung disease was in this country...

The 7th Annual 'jeep jaunt', to raise money for the American Lung Association, rolled through Acadiana today. The registration took place at Celebrity Theatres on Hwy 90 in Broussard, followed by the actual 'jaunt' to Cypress Bayou Casino and Hotel.

Each year for the 'jeep jaunt' JAM!! (the official registration kick-off party for the 'jeep jaunt') 50 people who register win a "premium" item for registering.  The first year of the JAM!! (2009) was a 'jeep jaunt' cap, in 2010 it was a hoodie, last year we gave out 'jeep jaunt' gym bags, and this year it is a 'jeep jaunt' beach towel...

AJRF organized the Annual 'jeep jaunt' JAM!! this past Saturday, and it was a huge success!!  Even with the inclement weather, people showed up in droves to register for the 7th Annual 'jeep jaunt' (benefiting the American Lung Association).

The 7th Annual 'jeep jaunt' is coming up on October 28th to raise money for the American Lung Association, and the Annual 'jeep jaunt' JAM is the registration kick-off party, which will be held at Sterling Jeep on I-49 in Opelousas!

The 7th Annual 'jeep jaunt', to raise funds for the American Lung Association, will roll on October 28th! Cypress Bayou Casino and Shorty's, Celebrity Theatres, KATC TV3, Sterling JEEP in Opelousas and Hulco Printers, our partners in the event, have all signed back on for another year of fun, food, music and JEEPS!!!

This is a commercial that airs on Australian television that tries to encourage people to quit smoking.   When I watched it, I felt that it could apply to any of the habits that we have that could lead to a shorter life with the ones we love.
