The strong line of storms that is pushing across the state has knocked power out to thousands. A check of the service providers in Acadiana shows many areas in and around Lafayette are dark this morning. Nearly 36,000 customers across the state of Louisiana are without power at this time. Weather is expected to clear up in the early part of the day with cooler temperatures coming in for the rest of the day.
