According to a spokesperson for South Louisiana Community College 25 different employers will be looking to place people in approximately 500 good paying jobs today. It's part of SLCC's industrial and trades job fair that's being hosted on the Bertrand Drive campus today.

Many well known and reputable companies around South Louisiana are looking to fill positions in several different lines of work. There are companies that need CDL drivers. Other companies are looking for welders. There is also a need for HVAC technicians and individuals with automotive repair skills.

The fact is this. There are a lot of jobs in the South Louisiana area that need skilled workers. You will certainly be compensated for your skills and level of experience but none of this can happen if you don't apply.

Today's (August 7) job fair will be in the Ardoin Building on the Bertrand Drive Campus of SLCC in Lafayette. The job fair hours will run from 9 AM until 12 Noon. You can get ahead of the game by pre-registering online.

Here's a tip offered by an SLCC spokesperson, "come dressed to meet your future boss". That might not mean a suit and tie but nice slacks and a nice shirt always make a great impression. Good Luck!
