Sign in Louisiana Has Unwelcoming Message for Jim Cantore
As Hurricane Francine approaches the coast of southern Louisiana, the national media is flocking to the Gulf Coast, including the Weather Channel.
The running joke for years has been that wherever Jim Cantore of The Weather Channel shows up, that's where the worst weather will be.
Cantore initially was stationed in Morgan City, Louisiana as Francine approached, but rumors on social media hinted that the famous reporter/meteorologist would be relocated to New Orleans as the storm's path shifted further east.
Well, while most are welcoming in Louisiana, one sign had jokes and it got right to the point when it announced that Cantore was not welcome, knowing that the worst weather in the storm would be to follow.
Let us remind you when Jim Cantore was in the Lafayette area years ago for a storm, many showed up to his LIVE shots with food and other items, to welcome him to south Louisiana. However, we knew why he was here and what was to come.
Take a look at the digital sign on the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in Metairie, Louisiana. Do you think this sign would be enough to have Cantore and his team turn around, in hopes that the worst would follow him elsewhere?
While we're at it, let's take a look at the famous meteorologist in the field from some of the previous storms.
