Sailboat Washes Up on One of Louisiana Beachgoers Favorite Beaches
They say you never know what you're going to see when you're on the beach and that includes sailboats on shore.
Several photos on social media show a beautiful sailboat on the beach in Pensacola, Florida after it was damaged by severe weather.
A man named Michaell Barlow says that they were bringing the boat home to Texas when they hit some very bad weather in the gulf and it damaged their boat. The crew on the boat navigated through the rough waters in the gulf and the headsail was ultimately torn from the boat.
Later, the engine blew and that is when the crew on the boat had to call for help. They were ultimately rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard, and the boat was left on its own.
Well, the sailboat had emerged and it showed up in Pensacola, FL.
The owners of the boat have made it back home after some very long days, and now they are attempting to recover their boat. The recovery will take a lot of work and money, thus they are asking for financial assistance via a GoFundME account.
The boat's name is "Lady Catherine" and we hope to see her return home soon. However, if you're in the area, you may want to take a walk down the beach and see if you can find this sailboat.
This truly resembles a scene from a movie.
