Police Pay Bill Of People Who Refused To Sit Next To Them

While tensions between police and civilians are at an all - time high, we've seen time and again that tragedy is bringing out the best in both groups.

There are still those, however, that continue to act out of prejudice. WTAE reports that a couple in a Homestead, Pennsylvania restaurant made it clear they didn't want to be seated next to a group of police officers. When an officer noticed the customer's discomfort, he tried to talk to him, but was ignored.

The officers then decided that it was important they show the couple that not all police are to be feared. They did so by paying for the couple's meal and writing a message to them on the receipt.
