The Poche Road Bridge is about to be shut down for awhile.

Citing the bridge "is in dire need of repairs," the St. Martin Parish Council passed a resolution declaring a public emergency. This allows the Council to not need to close the bridge during a prolonged bid process. Instead, workers will start making repairs at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, and this will last for 3-4 weeks.
