Over 1 Billion Passwords Stolen
According to WBIR, a Russian gang stole 1.2 billion username/password combinations and more than 500 million email addresses from hundreds of different sources.
This instance of a one-time security breach is being measured as about 5 times worse than the Target breach, according to the story.
So, how does this affect you? It might not, but I'm not taking that chance. I will be spending a portion of my day changing my passwords and, if the site allows, my username, as well. Maybe you should do the same.
