No Wake Zone In St. Martin Parish

St. Martin Parish President Chester Cedars has placed a No Wake Zone for Lower St. Martin Parish.

Cedars says that the water levels are very high in the area, and he says boaters who travel to fast will push water up onto properties.

He's worried that damage could occur.

Cedars says the order is effective now until further notice.

He adds that people should be staying at home anyway to do their part not to spread Coronavirus.

He hopes people will remember to practice social distancing if they are out on the water.
