MTV, VH1 AND CMT Are Going Wall To Wall Music Videos

Did you ever think you'd see the day when MTV, VH1 and CMT would actually play nothing but music videos?  They say they will but there's a catch.The catch is, the three say they will only do it for one day.  The big day is the July 4th.  They’re actually going to play music videos.

July 4th is 'Music Independence Day' and the big 3 stated they will feature videos from artists like Pink, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Carrie Underwood and others.

Each of the networks began their lives as music video channels but shifted to other, more lucrative programming through the years. I remember when MTV played nothing but music videos and when Don Imus was on VH1  Music programming is limited now -- a wee hours dance party on MTV, the "Jump Start" morning show on VH1, a weekend Hot 20 on the country-oriented CMT.

So pop-a-top, eat barbeque and let the music play this July 4th.
