The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Sunday, May 10th.

There are now 31,600 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That number is up 183 since yesterday.

Numbers show that there are 1,324 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 35 less than yesterday.

161 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 24 less than yesterday.

The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 2,213 an increase of 19 since yesterday.

As of today, 20,316 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered.

 

The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 1,759 (up 7 cases since yesterday) with 159 deaths reported (1 new death reported).

Lafayette Parish: 501 cases, 22 deaths

(Up 3 cases with no new deaths reported since yesterday.)

 

Iberia Parish: 285 cases, 26 deaths

(No new cases with no new deaths reported since yesterday.)

 

St. Martin Parish: 257 cases, 21 deaths

(No new cases and no new deaths since yesterday.)

 

St. Mary Parish: 245 cases, 26 deaths

(3 new cases, no new deaths reported since yesterday.)

 

St. Landry Parish: 215 cases, 50 deaths

(Up 4 cases with 1 new death reported since yesterday)

 

Acadia Parish: 148 cases, 11 deaths

(3 less cases reported, no new deaths since yesterday.)

 

Evangeline Parish: 67 cases, 1 death

(No change since yesterday.)

 

Vermilion Parish: 41 cases, 2 deaths

(No new cases, no new deaths since yesterday.)
