LSU Tiger Fans Suggest Who Should Be Celebrity Guest Picker for College GameDay
ESPN is bringing College GameDay to Baton Rouge, Louisiana this weekend as the LSU Tigers prepare to host the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The cast will be there and all that surrounds the most popular sports show on Saturday mornings.
In addition to the cast, there's always a 'Celebrity" attached to the show, who has a connection to the hosting university. So, who will represent LSU this weekend when it comes time for the picks?
Well, we don't have an official announcement yet, and that has led fans on social media to recommend a few popular names that are attached to LSU, here are just a few that I saw.
Some fans are hoping for Joe Burrow to return to LSU to make a pick. After all, he's a National Championship-winning Tiger.
Another name brought up is Shaquille O'Neal. Now, he was on campus a few weeks ago when LSU hosted Ole Miss, but if invited, I can see Shaq returning this weekend.
Fans have also suggested that LSU great Paull Skenes show up on the set of ESPN. Like Shaq, he too was recently back on campus and his schedule is much lighter now than Shaq's.
With a potential disturbance in the Gulf, a few fans jokingly said that Jim Cantore of the Weather Channell should be the guest picker. Hey, he can pick the winners of games and give us the forecast. Maybe it's not a bad idea.
Then there's Coach Ed Orgeron. Since being fired from LSU, I don't know if he's ever returned to campus, but if Coach O is on Game Day, that is MUST-SEE TV!!
Another name that has come up from fans of LSU is Theo Von. Hey, he loves the area, so why not?
I have also seen some fans nominate Angel Reese to represent LSU, and she's everywhere on social media, so perhaps she is an option for this Saturday morning.
For those who want to see the show in person from the campus of LSU, the set will be in the Quad of LSU, and the show goes LIVE on ESPN at 8 a.m Central.
