Louisiana Man Threatens Wife With Machete After She Refuses Sex

The Monroe native was arrested on one count of domestic abuse and aggravated assault child endangerment.

Authorities with the Ouchita Parish Sheriff's Office report that 53 year - old Philip Smith began to wave a machete in the couple's vehicle during an argument about sex. Smith's wife was driving the vehicle and their children were in the backseat. Smith told authorities he only meant to scare his wife.
