Local Business Icon Ed Krampe Dies At 75

Ed Krampe, owner of almost two dozen McDonalds franchises and several other Acadiana businesses, has died according to a source close to the family.

ABiz is reporting Krampe died in his sleep from what is believed to be a heart attack.

President of McDonald's of Acadiana, Ed Krampe moved to Lafayette in 1972 and opened up the first McDonald's in our area.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
