LDH: November 16th Louisiana COVID-19 UPDATE
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, November 16th.
There have been 197,467 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That's 547 more new cases since yesterday.
There are currently 818 COVID patients in the hospital. There are 81 COVID patients on ventilators.
LDH reports the confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 is 5,902. There is 7 more new deaths than yesterday.
176,107 COVID-19 patients are presumed recovered, as of 11/09/2020.
Below are some stats released from the Louisiana Department of Health:
- 98% of the cases reported to the state today were community spread.
- 2% of the cases reported to the state today were in congregate settings.
- Individuals between 18-29 represent 23% of these cases
- Since yesterday, 7,750 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 3,100,477. Of the tests reported today, 7,637 were PCR tests and 113 were antigen tests.
Lafayette Parish: 10,255 confirmed cases, 141 confirmed deaths
Iberia Parish: 3,252 confirmed cases, 100 confirmed deaths
St. Martin Parish: 2,431 confirmed cases, 65 confirmed deaths
St. Mary Parish: 2,140 confirmed cases, 89 confirmed deaths
St. Landry Parish: 4,180 confirmed cases, 140 confirmed deaths
Acadia Parish: 3,522 confirmed cases, 108 confirmed deaths
Evangeline Parish: 1,582 confirmed cases, 40 confirmed deaths
Vermilion Parish: 2,288 confirmed cases, 70 confirmed deaths
