Lafayette Police Arrest Suspect in April Shooting

Kanaisha Prejean was arrested inside a home on Friday following a shooting on April 11 in the 300 block of Verdun Street.

In a press release, Lafayette Police Department PIO Sergeant Wayne Griffin says Prejean is accused of shooting a female on that day during an argument between the two. The female victim was wounded on her left side.

Prejean faces charges of Attempted Second Degree Murder and Illegal Discharge of a Firearm while Committing a Violent Offense.
