41-year-old Kevin Bourque, a deputy with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, was arrested on Monday for an off-duty incident. He was then placed on paid administrative leave pending an internal affairs investigation by the Sheriff's Office, according to a press release from them.

The Youngsville Police Department is investigating the case as they were the agency who issued a warrant for Bourque after officers responded to a call on March 5 concerning Bourque - who was off duty - and a female.

"A report was filed and sent to the Lafayette Parish District Attorneys office," says Youngsville Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux in a statement to KPEL News. "Officers applied for and were granted a probable cause warrant signed by a district judge. The accused was arrested without incident. No further information on this matter will be released."

Bourque was booked with tampering with surveillance, criminal trespass, obstruction of justice, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and entry after being forbidden. The Sheriff's Office says Bourque will remain on leave until an internal affairs investigation regarding those allegations is concluded.
