On Friday, members of the Lafayette Garden Club will be gathering at the Heymann Memorial Park to commemorate Arbor Day.

According to the Arbor Day Foundation, all 50 states now have set aside a day to celebrate Arbor Day.

According to Lafayette Consolidated Government, this year's celebration will be held this Friday, January 29 at 10 o'clock in the morning.

At this celebration, two enthusiasts will be honored. Aline Arceneaux and Ann Justice will both have their memories honored as each will have a tree planted in their names.
