KATC has been presented with another Edward R. Murrow award for it's report entitled "Body of Evidence".

The Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) gives the Edward R. Murrow award for "outstanding achievements in electronic journalism". This is the third Murrow award for the Investigative Team at KATC.

In the report "Body of Evidence", Jim Hummel of KATC took a look at permits that are being issued that allow for the cremation of the bodies of homicide victims, which is illegal in Louisiana.

According to the story from KATC, "Body of Evidence" also garnered them an Emmy Award for its Investigative Reporting.

KATC TV3 also won 2 Edward R. Murrow Awards in 2020 for their story "The List", an investigation into the Catholic Church sex abuse scandal in Acadiana.
