Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Returning to South Louisiana
Didn't Louisiana already have a Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park? Ten years ago, the owners took the park out of the Jellystone database and turned it into a Le Bleu Lakes RV Park.

According to The Advocate, 4200 Luke Powers Road in Lake Charles, Louisiana, will soon reopen as a Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort once again.
Sean Vidrine, CEO of Four Points RV Resorts, is excited to bring the Jellystone Parks brand back to South Louisiana after all this time.
Since October 2024, the park has been undergoing a major transformation and Vidrine told The Advocate that they are very close to being finished with the project explaining, "We have a few things left that have to be completed, which are the pools, and we have a floating water obstacle course that we're waiting on to be delivered. We are currently, right now, in the middle of refurbishing the mini golf area by doing landscaping, but we are very close to being finished."
When Will Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Open in Lake Charles?
The family-friendly park and RV campground is set to open just in time for Memorial Day, on May 21st.
From minigolf to a floating opstacle course, there is something for everyone.
The park is just 2 and a half hours away from Houston, Texas, and an hour away from Lafayette, making it a perfect spot for a weekend or quick day trip.
"Experience the ultimate family vacation at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort Lake Charles, the premier family camping destination in Louisiana! Whether you’re planning a weekend escape or a week-long retreat, we have all you need to create unforgettable memories for your family."
You can book your reservation for a Yogi Bear Cabin or a spot to park your RV, either way, you will get to soak up all that the newly renovated park has to offer all year round.
