A video of Schitt’s Creek and American Pie star Eugene Levy learning to eat crawfish is making its rounds on social media. The clip, shared on Facebook by Blake Sebastien, shows the Emmy-winning actor intently following instructions on peeling and eating crawfish—an staple of our Louisiana culture.

While the video below speaks for itself, additional context from Cajun Heritage RV Park in Breaux Bridge helps paint a fuller picture of Levy’s visit. In a recent Facebook post, the park hinted at hosting a reality travel show featuring an “A-list actor,” adding that the show would spotlight Louisiana’s Cajun roots and life in the Atchafalaya Basin.

“We were contacted several months back about hosting a reality travel show with an A-list actor! Cajun Heritage RV Park will be featured along with other local establishments, such as Doucet’s Grocery and Turtle’s Bar,” the park shared.

Although the post doesn’t directly name Eugene Levy, the timing and location make it easy to connect the dots. Levy’s appearance in the video aligns with the park’s description of their exciting project, which is set to air in the spring or early summer of 2025.

The park celebrated the filming with live zydeco music by the Chubby Carrier Band, Louisiana dishes by Crazy Cajun Catering, and plenty of community spirit. They also announced plans for a big viewing party once the show premieres, promising "a true Louisiana celebration."

Seeing Levy embrace Cajun traditions like eating crawfish only continues to put a spotlight on South Louisiana’s unique culture and, hopefully, add to its appeal as a destination. Kudos to Cajun Heritage RV Park for serving as an ambassador of Acadiana’s heritage!
