At one point, plans were in the works to utilize the old Capitol One Bank on Louisiana Avenue for a new urgent care facility, but the plans fell through. Now, we are hearing from Adam Dailge with the Acadiana Advocate that the site will feature a Starbucks and T-Mobile.

The address for this old Capitol One site is 3105 Louisiana Avenue, and according to documents, this will be the site for the two new businesses.

Originally, the site would be leased out to Premier Health and Our Lady of Lourdes for an urgent care facility, but the deal fell through, according to OLOL officials. That would have been the first urgent care facility for that area in North Lafayette.

The other side of the development next to Starbucks will be a T-Mobile location.

According to records, Daigle says the LLC doing this Starbucks deal also spent money to buy the now-vacant Burger Tyme location on Johnston Street that used to house Wendy's. Does this mean that the building will have a new development coming, and if so, what could it be? That remains to be seen at this point.

This latest location to be added for Starbucks will be the eleventh coffee shop location for the Seattle-based company in the Lafayette area. For those who live in that area, the old Capital One location, which has been vacant for years, will finally have occupants.

There is no word on when the development might start being built, and there is no answer on when they believe Starbucks and T-Mobile might open at the location.
