After more than a decade with KLFY News 10, Dalfred Jones, one of the station's most popular news anchors, has announced that he’s moving on to a new opportunity. Known for his "Dial Dalfred" segments and his strong connection with the community, Jones has been a staple in Acadiana homes, building trust in the community through his news coverage and helping residents voice their concerns through his reporting.

While Jones hasn’t revealed the details of his next career move, he shared that this decision will allow him to continue making an impact and inspiring others, particularly the youth of Lafayette. “I’ve had the honor of bringing the news to you not only as a reporter but as a neighbor, friend, and trusted voice in your homes,” Jones said in a statement posted to social media.

The news of his departure immediately sparked hundreds of comments and reactions, including an outpouring of support from viewers and many community members taking to social media to wish him well. “Congratulations on your next chapter,” wrote one commenter, while another added, “We will miss seeing you on KLFY, but we know you’ll continue to make us proud.”

Jones’ exit is one of the more notable departures in recent memory, as the Lafayette TV market continues to see familiar faces sign off. As Jones steps out on his next journey, his presence on KLFY and in Lafayette media, in general, will undoubtedly be missed by many who have come to trust and depend on his reporting and connection to the Acadiana community.

We certainly wish him well in his next venture.
