Lafayette is no stranger to a good cup of coffee so it is no surprise that the opening of a new coffee shop concept in town has been on everyone's radar. In June, Developing Lafayette reported that construction for Scooter's Coffee's first Louisiana location had started off of West Congress in front of Hub City Fitness Elite right next to Bayou Shadows Apartment Complex. As we get closer to October, their tentative opening month, construction has reached its final stages.

What Makes Scooter's Coffee Unique?

This will be Lafayette's first-ever drive-thru-only coffee shop. Founded in 1998 with one mission in mind, to help customers "scoot in and scoot out quickly". If you want to grab a coffee but do not have time to wait in a long drive-thru line this is the perfect pit stop for you on the way to work. Scooter's doesn't compromise on quality just to provide fast service, they only roast from the top 10% of specialty coffee beans in the world to ensure customers are satisfied.

Update on Lafayette Scooter's Location

In 1998, the first Scooter's coffee location was opened in Bellevue Nebraska, and now it has officially made its way all the way to the boot. The shop is locally owned and is currently hiring baristas per a new sign posted out front of the now fully constructed drive-thru-only coffee shop. We have reached out for details and will update the story if we hear back.
