Love is in the air and the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office is offering a pretty special opportunity this Valentine's Day.

In a post from their official Facebook page, the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office offered a "special Valentine's Day Surprise" for anyone with an ex-spouse.

Well, specifically an ex-spouse who "buys or sells drugs" or "has an outstanding warrant"; the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office offered to meet the ex-spouse and "treat them to a special Valentine's day surprise" they will surely never forget.

This is definitely a clever way for the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office to bring criminals and/or those with outstanding warrants to justice, but my first thought was: Will people actually act on this offer?

I quickly found out that the answer was "absolutely, yes they would" as the comment sections got active with the quickness.

In less than 24 hours, the post got over 1,000 shares and more than 100 comments. While the post called for people to turn in an ex, folks like Justin asked if other family members would be eligible to turn in for the "Valentine's surprise."

Others, like Alison, had a good laugh, commenting "Tell me you from New Iberia without telling me you from New Iberia."

Benjamin commented what a lot of us were probably thinking as we read the eye-catching Facebook status update.

Even the City of Lake Charles chimed in on the clever Valentine's Day post.

But not everyone saw the humor or playfulness of the Iberia Sheriff's Department's post.

I'm curious to see if the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Department will get any leads from their Facebook post, but something tells me they are bound to have someone who gladly reached out to "treat" an ex.

... or two. Who knows. Follow along here via the official Facebook post to keep up with the comments.
