Search and rescue were deployed; however, their search so far has been unsuccessful. At this time, authorities are using 'unmanned aircraft and underwater units' to continue the search, as reported by the Associated Press.

Police arrived at the scene around 9.p.m and confirmed that the mother and her two children did go over the railing on Luna Island. According to Associated Press Luna Island is a popular spot for tourists and is located between American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls.

Authorities do not believe that there are any other parties involved. Through search warrants that were obtained by New York State Police, they were able to determine that the family went in and never came out.

"Due to the information that we have, we do know it was an intentional act, but the reason why is tougher to answer."

According to the Police, the families of the victims, including both children's fathers, have been cooperative, and because of that, the process to obtain more context and information has been sped up significantly.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to bring closure to the family. A full interview with the latest updates can be viewed below.
