Netflix Is Casting Singles in Louisiana for ‘Love Is Blind’

If you’re in a “situationship,” still sharing a lease with your ex, or running for mayor of Lafayette, this probably isn’t the gig for you.

For those who may be unfamiliar, the premise of the show, often referred to as a social experiment, is to date strangers without ever seeing them.

The goal? Leave engaged and meet your fiancé face to face before going on a romantic getaway with all the other couples.

All conversations take place in isolated 'pods' or rooms where you talk to your date through a wall for 10 days. Then the engaged couples spend a week at a couples retreat that is typically a bougie tropical vacation before moving in with their partner for several weeks, which is when all the drama happens.

Single and Ready to Mingle?

Before you start planning your pod proposal, here is some of the criteria you need to meet:

• You must be at least 21 years old

• You must be single and not living with a romantic partner... no situationships!

• You must be a legal U.S. resident

• You’ll need two valid forms of ID

• You can’t be currently running for public office

• You must have a valid U.S. passport for travel during production
