LAFAYETTE, La. (KMDL-FM) - Louisiana's first-ever Swig is officially opening its doors in Lafayette this Wednesday, July 30.

The drink shop that features customizable dirty sodas, water-based refreshers, and Reviver energy drinks is located in The Forum shopping center at 4533 Johnston St. in Lafayette.

Soft Opening Details and Store Hours

The store will have a soft opening this Wednesday at 10:00 am until its grand opening on August 18, franchisee Chase Herbert told the Acadiana Advocate.

During the soft opening, hours for the store will be 10:00 am to 8:00 pm weekdays and 11:00 am to 7:00 pm weekends until the grand opening, when the hours will change.

Swig’s Viral Dirty Sodas and Signature Drinks

Swig is a Utah-based drink shop that is home to the viral dirty soda that has taken TikTok by storm.

Fan Favorites: Texas Tab, Strawberry Breeze, and Shark Attack

Some of the more popular options include:

• Texas Tab - a rich blend of Dr Pepper, vanilla, and coconut cream
• Strawberry Breeze - made with water, sugar-free coconut, sugar-free vanilla, strawberry puree, frozen strawberry, and coconut
• Shark Attack - a fun blend of Sprite, lemonade, and blue raspberry, topped with a gummy shark

Future Expansion: Youngsville Location Planned for 2026

There will be at least one more Acadiana location of Swig. Herbert, who owns other locations in the Orlando area, signed a deal to open another location in Youngsville at the roundabout of Bonin Road and Milton Avenue. Construction has not begun yet there, but it is expected to open sometime in 2026.
