Powerball Confirms $50,000 Louisiana Win on Saturday
(Baton Rouge, LA) Officials with the Louisiana Lottery have confirmed that a ticket sold in Louisiana for this past Saturday's multi-state lottery game, Powerball, was a big money winner. The Louisiana-sold Powerball winner did not claim the game's jackpot prize but did win one of the largest prizes awarded in the game's Saturday night drawing.
In recent weeks, games of the Louisiana Lottery have made big money winners in Buras, Farmerville, Baton Rouge, Plattenville, and Slidell. When you consider how high the jackpot totals have been running for the past few weeks, it is no wonder that lottery players in Louisiana have had their interest piqued.

The current roster of jackpots includes Lotto, which boasts a top prize of $1.3 million. Based on our algorithms, that game should have gotten a winner about two weeks ago, but still, the jackpot total climbs. Easy 5, another Louisiana Lottery exclusive, is boasting a nice jackpot too. The top prize in Easy 5 is currently estimated to be $150,000.
What Are the Current Jackpots for Powerball and Mega Millions?
When you couple those with a Mega Millions jackpot estimated to be $110 million, the Powerball, which on Saturday night was drawing for a top prize of $293 million, it's pretty easy to see why folks in Louisiana have not been shy about trying their luck. Lady Luck has not been shy about returning some big wins for those investments.
In fact, in Saturday's Powerball drawing, there were more than 4,000 winning tickets sold in Louisiana. Here is how that drawing played out on July 19, 2025.
There was no ticket sold across the Powerball footprint that matched all the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize. There were also no Match 5 Million tickets sold. That means the game's largest prizes on Saturday went to tickets that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball.
According to our sources at Powerball, 16 tickets claimed that number match scenario. Seven of the tickets opted for the Power Play while the other nine earned the prize as described by the rules without the Powerball.
What Were Saturday's Powerball Numbers?
Here are the numbers that we saw rolling out of the hopper on Saturday night:

According to our sources with the Louisiana Lottery, the Louisiana-sold big money winner did match four of five white balls and the Powerball but did not opt for the Power Play. Had the ticket purchaser spent the extra dollar, their take-home from Saturday would have been $150,000 instead of just $50,000. Not that $50,000 is something to be sad about.
Where in Louisiana Was the Winning Powerball Ticket Sold?
The Louisiana Lottery has confirmed that the $50,000 winner was sold in Greensburg, Louisiana, at the Whispering Pines C Store on Highway 10. That ticket is one of three unclaimed Powerball prizes currently hosted by the Louisiana Lottery. The other unclaimed prizes are a $50,000 winner sold in Slidell for the July 14th drawing and a $100,000 winner sold in Plattenville, LA for the July 9th drawing.
Powerball's next drawing will be tonight. The estimated annuitized jackpot prize is $308 million. The lump sum or cash prize is estimated to be $137.7 million. The drawing is set for 10 p.m.
