Mardi Gras may officially be done, but you can still catch some more parades in Louisiana. (I guess we didn't give up "passin' a good time" for Lent!)

Multiple Mardi Gras parades in or near New Orleans that weren't able to run due to the high winds and heavy rains have been scheduled for the next two weekends.

In Metairie, Jefferson Parish officials have announced that the Krewe of Argus Parade will now roll with the St. Patrick Parade of Jefferson on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

“I’m so excited to have been able to work with the Krewe of Argus to reschedule their big day. This unique situation will allow us to bring together two of Jefferson Parish’s most historic traditions. The union of Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day will be on full display on Metairie Road,” said Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng. “I want to thank the Jefferson Parish Council for their support, especially District 5 Councilman Hans Liljeberg.”

Argus was originally scheduled to roll on Mardi Gray Day, but due to high winds and inclement weather, officials decided to postpone it. The winds threatened the floats and riders.
