(Baton Rouge, LA) The ink supply for the check-writing machine at the Louisiana Lottery offices in Baton Rouge is already in peril of running dry. Okay, that's probably an overstatement, but it seems as if every time there is a drawing for Powerball, Lotto, and Easy 5 in the state, there is also a big money winner. This past Saturday night, it was Powerball's turn to offer a financial windfall to a Louisiana player.

We are not even two weeks into 2026, and already the Louisiana Lottery is reporting some big wins. There have been jackpot wins in Lotto and Easy 5 in recent days. Lotto had a jackpot winner on January 3rd, and Easy 5 got a big winner on January 7th.

What's the One Lottery Game That Has Never Produced a Jackpot Winner in Louisiana?

The one lottery game that has never produced a jackpot winner in the state of Louisiana is Mega Millions. That doesn't mean that Louisiana players don't win big in that game. We just haven't claimed the game's top prize—part of the reason why Louisiana players seem to love Powerball more than Mega Millions is familiarity.

Powerball has been played in Louisiana since March 1995. During the past 30 years, Louisiana-sold tickets have won Powerball's jackpot prize 10 different times. One of those tickets was sold in Lafayette, and another was sold in Eunice. Meanwhile, Mega Millions joined the Louisiana Lottery lineup in 2011. So Powerball got almost a 20-year head start.

How Much Was the Powerball Jackpot For Saturday, January 10, 2026?

We know Saturday's Powerball produced some big winners. Let's see if your ticket means money back for you. Here is the Powerball drawing for Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Based on the numbers on the screen presented by host Laura Johnson, the annuitized jackpot for Saturday's Powerball was $126.3 million. The lump sum payout or cash payout prize was listed at $57.1 million. Both of those jackpot amounts will be climbing as we head toward Monday's Powerball drawing.

No ticket sold across the Powerball footprint matched the numbers needed to claim the jackpot prize. Three tickets sold across the Powerball footprint did earch a Match 5 Million prize. That's where the ticket matches all five of the white ball numbers but doesn't match the red Powerball.

The prize for a match scenario like that is $1 million. However, if the ticket purchasers add Power Play to the ticket, then the amount is $2 million. None of the big winners that were sold in California, Ohio, and Connecticut opted for Power Play on their tickets.

As we mentioned, there was a big winner in Louisiana. The $150,000 winner was one of only four tickets that had the number match scenario of four white balls and the Powerball. The face value of that match is $50,000, but because the ticket's purchaser opted for Power Play, their winnings are multiplied, in this case, by 3.

What Were The Winning Powerball Numbers for January 10, 2026?

Here are the Powerball numbers that were drawn on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

05   19   21   28   64   Powerball 14   Power Play x3

We have been unable to confirm the point of purchase for the big money winner sold in Louisiana at this time. We should have that information later today and will update this story when that information becomes available.

There were no jackpot winners in Louisiana's other Saturday draw games. So the Lotto jackpot will climb to $550,000, and Easy 5 will play for a top prize of $60,000. But those games won't draw again until Wednesday. Monday's Powerball will be an estimated $137 million. That is the estimate for the annuitized jackpot prize.
