(KMDL-FM) The multi-state lottery game Powerball has revealed two big wins in Louisiana based on the results of Monday night's drawing. The Louisiana Lottery confirmed that the big wins in the state were for $50,000 and $100,000. And Monday's Powerball results show even more winners on a less grand scale.

The Powerball jackpot has been slowly building since the game had a jackpot win a little over two weeks ago. In that drawing, August 12, 2026, a ticket sold in Illinois earned a jackpot prize of $1.04 billion. Last night's Powerball jackpot wasn't quite that large, but it was large enough to be life-changing.

As the ping-pong balls dropped from the hopper on Monday, August 31, 2026, the estimated annuitized jackpot prize for Powerball was listed at $134 million. The cash payout prize was noted to be approximately $58.1 million. Neither of those prizes was won in last night's drawing.
