Louisiana, If You Bought This Brand of Ice Cream, You May Be Owed Money

Here in Louisiana, we sure do love our ice cream. Back in the gap, many of us had an affection for Borden's, and probably more so nowadays, Blue Bell is the choice of most in the Bayou State.

But, being it's so hot down here much of the year, most of us don't discriminate. If it's in our local grocer's frozen food section, we might try it.

And along those lines, no doubt some of us have enjoyed a scoop or two of Breyers ice cream. If you have, then you may be entitled to compensation.

Details of the Breyers Natural Ice Cream Settlement

In a class action settlement, plaintiffs allege that the labeling of Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream gave them the impression that it contained vanilla flavor derived only from the vanilla plant and not from non-vanilla plant sources.

Breyers denies the allegations. Nonetheless, the company is coughing up some dough.

Who is Eligible for Money in the Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream Settlement?

If you purchased Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream in the United States from April 21, 2016, through August 14, 2024, you may be eligible for part of the $8,850,000 settlement.

Here's the tricky part. To get the most money, you'll need proof.

How Do You File a Claim in the Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream Settlement?

To be a part of the settlement money, you'll need to submit a claim by February 19, 2025. If you have proof of purchase, you will be eligible for a cash payment of $1 per product, with no limit.

If you do not have proof of purchase, you can receive $1 for each product, with a maximum of eight products.
