Discount Clothing Retailer Reveals Plans for Louisiana Location

The fact that this Seattle-based retailer operates a clothing chain is even more remarkable since we've seen so many similar retailers have to restructure their businesses or shutter them entirely.

Which Clothing Retailer Is Planning a New Discount Location in Louisiana?

If you are a fan of retail therapy, you probably know the name Nordstrom. When you mention the name Nordstrom, most thoughts go in the direction of "high-end department store". You would not be wrong in thinking that. The other attribute Nordstrom stores are known for is exceptional customer service.

And while many of us appreciate the Nordstrom brand and commitment to quality, we can't stomach the "high-end" aspect of the retailer's offerings. Enter Nordstrom Rack, the off-price division of the retailer, which offers similar quality and selection at more budget-friendly terms.

According to an online report, the principles behind Nordstrom Rack has plans to open five stores in the United States in 2026. One of those stores will be located in Louisiana. The other stores will be in Canton, Ohio, Deptford, New Jersey, Mansfield, Massachusetts, and Williamsburg, Virginia.

Where Will the New Louisiana Location of Nordstrom Rack be?

The Louisiana location of Nordstrom Rack will open in 2026 in Elmwood, Louisiana. According to reports, the new Louisiana location will be the largest of the new stores being opened. It will reportedly offer more than 27,000 square feet of shopping space for customers once it is opened.

Louisiana currently has three Nordstrom Rack locations, including one in Lafayette, another in Baton Rouge, and Nordstrom Rack, the Outlet Collection, which is at the Riverwalk in New Orleans. The new Nordstrom Rack in Elmwood would also be in the Greater New Orleans area.

Again, there have been no specific dates listed for the opening of the new Louisiana Nordstrom Rack location, but a planned opening in 2026 has been confirmed.
